February Art Workshop Thursday February  18th 2010 at the Jamestown Center “The Kentucky Artist Place” will be presenting a one day oil painting workshop.  The class starts at 8 a.m. Cst. and will continue until 4 p.m.  Seating is limited to 12 students.  They will be taken at a first come first serve basis.  The fee for the class is $45.00  It includes photo, pattern and instructions as well as a Fredricks 16×20 stretched canvas.  Supplies to bring are Viva paper towels, Easel, Palette, Odorless thinner mixed 1/2 with linseed oil for medium consistency,  ruler, colored pencil, transfer paper, and painters tape.

Brushes: soft oil #3 round, 1/4 to 1/2 inch filbert, flat or brights 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 to one inch.  Bring what you have and we will work with them.  Oil paint: titanium white, b. umber, b. sienna, sap green, cad orange, Aliza, crimson, red, thole red rose or rose madder, cerulean blue.  This is an unusual painting and fun to do.  To register please e mail Gail J. In April at the normal club meeting there will be a full day workshop “KOI”. That painting is in oil on an acrylic background.
